We were asked to read Esther Chapter 4 and answer these Questions:
1. Who do you relate to more, Esther or Mordecai?
and 2. What can you apply to your life from their life?
1. I think that I relate to Esther more, she is a very caring person. You can tell she is very sympathetic and worried about Mordecai. She wants to follow the rules, because she knows the consequence for not doing so. When really Mordecai makes her realize that either way she has a chance of being put to death. If she goes to the king without being summoned, she could be put to death. But if she does not speak up for the Jews herself and her family could die along with them. Mordecai shows her this, he helps her see her purpose.
2.I can take from this that we need to trust in God and know that we do have a purpose. God has put us all here for a reason, if I ever start to lose faith, or start to forget why I am here. I can remember that God has a time for me “For such a time as this” there will be a time when I will have been specially apointed to do something for God, if I just put trust in him. It is kind of like God sending me to Africa, it’s something I would have never imagined on my own, but there is a special reason that I don’t even know of right now that I am going.
